NE Cape Fear River

Congratulations Mitch Garner and Chandler Todd. Winners of the N.E. Cape Fear River tournament this past Saturday with a 12.80 limit. It was hot and brutal on the river. The fish numbers are down but the fish are very healthy. Give the river some time to heal and the fishery will rebound. I suggest that everyone hold some bowfin tournaments as there are hundreds of bowfin willing to bite . Congratulations to Rich Ludwig and Pete Peterson for their 2nd place finish with 7.94. In third with 7.43 pounds was the team of Ian Seaver and Ryan Klonniger. We held our tournament raffle with Tich Ludwig winning the big prize of the free tournament entry worth $180. All told over $2,500 in cash, prizes and merchandise was awarded. Now onto Badin lake. Looks like we will have a big turnout on Badin so come enjoy the fun.
